While the Russian underground influence in Europe has received much attention, Kosovo represents a black hole in the study of Russian influence. Through this report, the author intends to examine Russia's targets in Kosovo's influential operations company, the actors where Russia relies on expanding its influence, and the roads through which propaganda, dezinforms and Russian manipulations spread.
This study will address questions like: Does Russia seek to help its Serbian ally win a ground in the majority Serb areas? Does he try to undermine US and EU political, military and economic investments in Kosovo? Or are you promoting an alternative political model for Western liberalisation? In what ways does Russia use local Serbs, members of the international community in Kosovo or local Albanians to do its job? What are the mechanisms through which Russia spreads its influence?
Through interviews, analysis and a group focus with local experts, Kosovo government officials and Kosovo-based international military diplomats, QKSS seeks to unlock Russian influence in Kosovo.
The final goal of the report is to build stability in the local population against propaganda, deinformation and manipulation of public opinion by Russian influence.
The conference is held from 10:00 at the Conference Centre “Orion” in Pristina.
