She is municipal adviser in Pristina from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo. [Getty Images] The LDK, while after the arrival of Kurti Government, was also appointed Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Although it is allowed under the Law on Local Self-Government to hold both positions, civil society organisations, which monitor the work of local government, are skeptical of meeting these obligations.
They add that in such cases there is danger of conflict of interest.
Dumosh has said, however, that she has not yet decided on the issue, because she should first consult the organs within her party, but adds that, as one of the most voted women in the country, there is also obligation to the citizens of Pristina.
For Dumosh, this is the second time the minister is appointed to this dictatorship. In 2017 she remained the minister of culture about two months at the end of Isa Mustaf's rule.
However, this would not be the first case a minister holds even the position of municipal adviser.
Former Minister of Health, Ismaili Bridge, had chosen to hold both posts, so that almost never had he attended Pristina's Municipal Assembly hearings.
Remember Gashi also, as much as exercised the post of Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, was also the leader of Prizren's Municipal Assembly.
Also, both positions, the minister's and municipal advisers had long held to Blerand Stavileci. /Periscope
