Lutfi Haziri targets LDK chairman post

After working groups did all the work on harmonising the joint government programme, Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti and the Democratic League of Kosovo leader, Isa Mustafa, failed to negotiate the division of office.

Even at the first meetings, LDK leader Isa Mustafa sought to clarify the presidential post and then formalise the government agreement.

But, the coalition was reached and the issue of this post remained unequivocal. LDK Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri in an interview for FactePlus says he will not be talking about the subject for the time being, but when the presidential candidate will be from the LDK ranks.

For busy countries, let's not talk now, I've said, and I have to move away from the fear of failing to elect the president. We're sure we got rid of this. The leaders in the department have to decide for a candidate who comes from the LDK's turn for president and who is acceptable to the opposition and all the people, because otherwise we cannot choose”, Haziri said.

Even in this case, Haziri has reaffirmed that his current party chief is the uncontested candidate for president.

“I have said that if the election for president is tomorrow, Isa Mustafa is a non-disputed candidate does not talk. We never chose another name. However, with Mustafa going to the Presidency, the LDK must also elect the new party chairman.

Haziri, in a conversation for the FactPlus News Agency, has shown whether there is ambition to take the lead in the party and in what way.
