Kurti gives tax removal deadlines without co-ordination with LDK

Republika Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has warned that next week the Government will make the decision since 15 March to partially lift the fee on Serbian and Bosnian goods. In this case Kurti has invited Serbia to pledge that he will cease the campaign to recognise Kosovo's independence. If Serbia reflects in this direction, as the chief of executives has indicated, the tariff will then depart as a whole on April 1st. At the extraordinary conference, held last night, Kurti has asked the EU to assess Kosovo's decision and offer visa removal before the Zagreb Summit. Meanwhile, if Serbia does not cease its hostile campaign on the international level and starts with removing barriers in relations with Kosovo, then the Government of Kosovo from April 1st will begin gradual implementation of reciprocity. And if the Serbian side does not reflect even after a period of 90 days from the initial decision to partially lift the fee, then the Government of Kosovo from 15 June will restore the tax on imports from Serbia as the implementation launched on April 1st of reciprocity continues. But this plan presented by Kurti is not supported by the ruling partner, the LDK. Officials of this subject have said the prime minister has introduced provisions for abolishing the tax under conditions without publicly co-ordinating the Democratic League of Kosovo.
