In the case of the 12th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence, the heads of state have been holdings at the tomb of the national affairs event, Adem Demac.
They, in this case, praised Demac's sacrifice for the state of Kosovo and the national issue.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that Adem Demaci as an intellectual, writer and political prisoner was the inspiration and inspiration of generations.
“As the new writer and intellectual, as the political prisoner, with the longest suffering Adam Demaci inspired and inspired generations of activists and warriors like no other. On the 12th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence, we humble ourselves before his life, his work and war, which he never separated from one another, so he was everyone but himself, and we all owe him so much”, Kurti said.
Chief Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani has spoken about the life and work of the Ademi Demac event in the fight against the Serbian regime.
“We today honour Ademi Demachin one of the symbol activists of the Albanian issue who fought through his sacrifice of occupation and the Serbian regime for years. He testified that individual freedom is sacrificed in a collective way. He put the freedom of his people ahead of all freedom and interest. We honor him today as we honor all Albanian activists who resisted by sacrificing themselves and never giving in to a regime meant to permanently destroy our people”, Osmani said.
The Albanian question event Adem Demac passed away on 26 July 2018, at the age of 82.
In November 1958 Demac was arrested in Pristina by the authoritarian government of the former Yugoslavia. He spent three years in prison. He was again imprisoned in 1964-1974 and 1975-1990. He was released from prison after the fall of Yugoslavia in 1990.
In 1991, it was honoured by the European Parliament with the “Award Sakharov” During 1998/99, he was the political spokesman of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
He was also chairman of the Kosovo Writers' League (2005-2007). In 2010, it was awarded the Order “Hero of Kosovo”. He spent his last years in Pristina.
