Kurt eats the words: The tax is removed but does not impose reciprocity

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has made the decision to lift the tax on Serbian and Bosnian products. So he announced at a media conference, where he said the tax on Serbia would be lifted by the 15th of March. Kurti, however, had said that the tax would be removed as soon as the measure [...] is decided.

So he announced at a media conference, where he said the tax on Serbia would be lifted by the 15th of March.

However, Kurti had said that the tax would be lifted as soon as the reciprocity measure is decided for that measure, Kurti has decided to give Serbia time rather than decide as he has stated several weeks earlier.

With this move Kurti has not kept his word that the tax will be removed until the Recipority is established.

“Tarifa 100% against Serbia's goods will be replaced with the principle of reciprocity. The fee 100% removed until reciprocity is established. Very soon we start preparing Kosovo Customs for this. As prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, I have expressed my will to clear the fee 100%. I expect Serbia to be declared willing to stop the campaign for recognising Kosovo's independence”, he had said.

Tufty Kurti said that “if Serbia fails and does not shut down the campaign and the removal of the barrier to Kosovo, by April 1st it will start at the beginning of reciprocity once in the field of economy now in the political field and other”, but that is in conflict with Kurti's earlier statements.

Kurti also said that if Serbia does not stop, he will return the fee on June 15th./Periscopi/
