Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is participating in the European Bank's Summit for Reconstruction and Development, for Investments in the Western Balkans being held in London.
Kurti in an interview unveiled the government's goals leading the country.
He said fighting corruption would be his priority.
“We will focus on implementing the law to fight corruption and guarantee investments, and on the other hand, we will connect the labour market with proper education, and for that we need a good infrastructure, especially railway transport, in which the BERZH will be able to help us a lot and regional roads to have better connections both within the country and with neighbours. We have a very educated youth in a technological way, but we need the right investment. Likewise, we need foreign investment to have economic growth”, Kurti stated.
The first government stressed that EURZH assistance needs Kosovo to rehabilitate road and rail transport.
In this direction, we will focus on linking Prizren to Tetovo, as well as rehabilitation of railway transport from south to north, starting with Hani Elezi, border with northern Macedonia, and heading towards Lesak on the border with Serbia. This Samit was a good opportunity to discuss with the chiefs of other countries”, he added.
Kurti stressed that diaspora investments would help Kosovo.
“We have large diaspora and their investments will help Kosovo extremely”, Kurti said at the EURZH summit.
