Jeff Bezos vows to donate $10 billion to combat climate change

The world's richest man said the money would finance work by scientists, activists and other groups.

I want to work with others to strengthen known ways and explore new ways of combating the devastating impact of climate change” has declared Bezos.

Through a letter to his account at the Institute, he said the fund would start distributing money this summer.

Bezos has an estimated net value of more than 130 billion dollars, so the promised amount represents almost 8% of his wealth.
