Almost 300 out of 3,700 people in Princess Diamond have been tested so far. The number of infected can increase as the test continues, the BBC writes.
The raids began after an 80-year-old man who had been aboard the ship last month became ill with the virus.
The 10 cases are in those over 50 years of age, said Japanese broadcaster NHK.
Four are in their 50s, four are in their 60s, one is in their 70s, and one is in the '80s.
Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato said the confirmed cases were among 31 results from 273 people tested so far.
“We've had them (those who tested positively) get off the ship and ... we're sending them to medical organisations,” he said at a Wednesday press conference.
In China alone, there are now more than 24,300 cases of the virus, with the number of deaths at 490.
