Iranian hackers, supported by the government, have targeted universities in Europe, the United States and Australia in recent months, the company has said, PricewaterhouseCoopers, according to Dutch broadcaster NOS.
The hackers have attempted to steal academic and legal literature.
It did not mention whether efforts to gain access to the computers of three Dutch universities and another high institution have been successful.
A year ago, the United States has charged nine Iranian citizens with their alleged involvement in a broad scheme of revenge and theft of intellectual property.
The U.S. Treasury Department has also sanctioned 10 individuals and an Iranian company to avenge hundreds of universities on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard.
Tehran rejects the accusations, calling them false.
“We can see from infrastructure using that the same group of attackers is still active”, Gerwin Naber of PricewaterhouseCoopers was quoted as saying.
