France cancels learning political Islam

French President Emmanuel Macro said that beginning in September, the foreign language and culture class will be cancelled in schools across the country.

Macron, who made a press release in the city Mulhouse, claimed that “Some of society wanted to develop a new political project for Islam”, while he said there is no problem with secularism in the country, but it should not be a tool for “war” against a religion.

Our enemy is separatist ideas, those who want to leave French Republic and those who do not observe the law. It is unacceptable to want to break ties with the French Republic on behalf of a religion. This should be resolved”, Macron declared, while adding that this is not a plan aimed at Islam.

Claiming that 80 training centres in the country will be established in the fight against the actions of <x0 Serbists”, Macro underlined that French Muslims pose no problem.

French head of state said 15 mosques, 12 associations and 4 schools were closed in the past two years, while adding that 80 thousand students were given foreign language lessons in the context of “education of native language and culture” (ELCO)

As president of France, I am troubled by teachings in the schools of the Republic that the state cannot control. We can't provide control over the educational programme, and this is a problem”, explain Macro.

The French leader announced that it is necessary to pass on to the system “International Foreign Language Education” and said these teachers and imma also need to be educated in France and to know French.

The “Turks living in France are French in my eyes. I want them to be French. I want them to have the rights that the French have, but like the French, they submit to the same laws. Turkey's laws cannot be applied here”, Macron concluded.
