Four people have died of seasonal flu in Kosovo, while thousands more are affected. Only from October 5th of last year until January 5th of this year has the National Institute of Public Health revealed that over 16 thousand cases have been reported as flu suspect, while from January to now by public health institutions in the country has been told about “Zerin” that the number of flu affected has increased further. Influenza is an acute condition of the respiratory system caused by the A, B, and C. Virus A is estimated to be more dangerous than that B and C.
From the country's National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) it had become known that the A flu virus is in circulation in the country, and infected people have indicated that even the B virus has affected citizens, writes “Zer”.
The IKSHPK has recommended vaccinating vulnerable people, primarily people with chronic illnesses, keeping personal hygiene, citizens washing their hands as often as possible and not staying in places where many people gather.
