Lamir Thaci, spokesman at the Kosovo Veterina and Food Agency, told Radio Free Europe that products deemed dangerous for carrying the virus are forbidden to be imported. He says products, which are forbidden to enter Kosovo from China, are mainly products of animal origin.
“AVUK from the first moment of the coronary show in China, has raised the level of control and identified products that have been imported to Kosovo. So it's about products of animal origin and the data that we possess, we found that only bees and bees' hots were imported in Kosovo. We've got the stop measure for this product. Only products of animal origin are initially valued as matter through which this virus can be carried and stoppages taken over the time of”, Thaci said.
He says that the person responsible for fighting infectious diseases has already been appointed, with particular emphasis on measures against the new coronary.
We've already established a competent person who's in the fight group for infectious diseases, especially for the new choreography and all the actions required by this group we're willing to implement, as we have experience in combating other infectious diseases that have affected veterinarian health”, he said.
The new type of coronary causes acute respiratory disease, which has been named Covid-19 and for the first time, has appeared in China's town of Vwan in December. Recent figures from China point to more than 2,200 people dead and over 75,000 infected.
In Kosovo Customs, Adriatic spokesman Stavileci said that the decline of imports from China, where the new Coronavirus 19 originated, has been observed in online acquisitions. If the same period of last year is compared to this year, it notes that there is a decline in online purchases from China to 35 percent.
The import bans from China have already sent them AVUK and we've taken action immediately. However, the import level is early to determine, since orders from China take place mainly until two months ago. So the effects will be seen later”, Stavileci said.
Meanwhile, surveyed citizens who already have experience with online purchases from China say that since the new choreography appeared, they have interrupted their orders across the Internet.
Besa, a 24-year-old from Pristina, says she has ordered products from China, but from the introduction of this virus, she does not already muster up the courage to order again.
Until a month ago I ordered to one of the sites in Aliexpress, which is based in China. But I stopped because I'm afraid of the virus. I usually ordered small things, such as earrings, various accessors, bags or similar ones, but not clothes. Since the new choreography was announced I've cut off orders”, she said.
In addition to China, the source of the new virus, as well as about 30 other countries, more than 500 cases of the new coronary have been recorded. Four people have also died outside of China - France, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Japan.
