Close co-operation Kosovo- Albania in Defence Field

Defence Minister Anton Kuni has been hosting Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Kemal Minxhozi.

At first, Ambassador Minxhozi congratulated Minister Quinn and conveyed congratulations on the part of his counterpart, Minister Gacka. Highly praising the personality and political profile of Minister Quinn, he expressed full confidence in the success of the ministry and force in the processes he is undergoing.

Also, Ambassador Minxhozi expressed high concern for Albania's overall level of bilateral co-operation, expressing full readiness and offering all of Albania's state capacities.

As a NATO member, he offered unreserved support in developing and advancing KSF operational capacities and affirmation of Kosovo for accession to regional and Euro-Atlantic security mechanisms.

Minister Quinn, in turn, thanked the ambassador and expressed deep gratitude for Albania's permanent support at all periods and in Kosovo's overall achievements.

He also spoke of contributing to professionalising KSF military frameworks through training and schooling, as well as contributing Albanian officers to NATO's advisory team.

Quinn stressed the need to intensify activities and deepen further co-operation and brotherly relations between two states, ministries and forces in the function of common interests and in the function of peace, regional stability and security and wider.

Minxhozi, accompanied by Albanian military attaché Colonel Edward Bala and adviser NALT, Lieutenant Colonel Gitt White, while Minister Quinn accompanied Cabinet chief Yasar Ramadani, military adviser Colonel Hamdi Pollomi and Department for International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration director Colonel Hasan Hoxha.
