CEC: Sʹka still no application to be certified for elections in Podujevo

On Monday is the last day political parties will have the opportunity to apply for certificate of participation in extraordinary elections in Podujevo. However, a day before the end of this deadline, neither has submitted a certificate application with their candidates for elections in Podujevo. There is [...] such a thing
That has made it known, State for Information at the Central Election Commission, Valmir Elezi. He for Kosova Prees, says political subjects have until six o'clock tomorrow to deliver their application to the CEC.
Until now we have not accepted any official application on the part of political subjects, the application to be certified for participation in the extraordinary elections for the mayor of the Podujevo municipality that will be held on March 15th. It is known that the deadline for application is to be certified for participation in this election to close Monday, February 17th. And by 1600 political subjects have deadlines to submit their application to the CEC and along with it the candidate name for chairman of this municipality”, he says.
After the application deadline for this election is completed, Elez says the office for registering political parties and certificate reviews all applications made and submits to the CEC recommendations for certificate or not of any political subject or candidate. It shows when the election campaign will officially begin.
After all procedures have been completed, it becomes possible for the CEC to organise the withdrawal of the horticus for ranking political subjects that take place on March 2nd, so this date is planned. And that then gives us the opportunity to start one day later, from March 3rd, political subjects and candidates to start their election campaign. Which under the CEC decision ends on March 13th. So there are 11 days available to political subjects and candidates to hold their election campaign for these elections”, Elez adds.
Elez says they can't speak in numbers yet about how many citizens are eligible to vote in the municipality where the elections will be held, as the CEC has still not certified the voter list. However, according to him, there are 87 thousand eligible citizens in Podujevo.
On March 15, 2020, residents of the Podujevo municipality will turn to ballot boxes to elect the new chairman.
These choices come after the appointment of Agim Veliu, my Home Affairs and Public Administration beginner.
