The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has been declared in terms of the extraordinary election process expected to be announced soon.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has declared for EO that so far they do not have any official announcement on the issue, while he has indicated that when the CEC begins preparing an election process.
“E have explained in past similar cases, so under the circumstances of extraordinary elections, the CEC begins with intensive preparations after the election date” is announced, Elesi said.
Asked when the appointment of CEC members will take place, as this is necessary for election organisation, Elez said that in terms of the process of appointing new CEC members can give answers to the presidency.
How much these elections would cost, Elez did not give any figures, as he said planning would take place on time. “Viti 2020 is not an election year. So for whatever possible election process this year, the CEC has no means planned for elections.
As we have done in the past, so in similar cases, the CEC makes planning and budgetary demand forwarded to the Government of Kosovo”, Elez said.
