Cakaj in Thessaloniki talks about importance of visa liberalisation for Kosovo

Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Albania's Government Gent Cakaj attended the summit conference for European perspective, held in Thessaloniki.
In a Facebook response, in terms of his participation in the conference, chief diplomat Cakaj said he was stressed by the two very important issues.
First, participants stressed the necessity to open negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia, as an essential move to deepen domestic reforms, strengthen the process of regional co-operation and exalt the European spirit in the Western Balkans.
Second, they highlighted the particular importance of visa liberalisation with the Republic of Kosovo, not only for its citizens, but also for preserving EU credibility in the region.
All participants at this meeting support the opening of EU membership talks for Albania immediately according to its major merits! ”- finished Cakaya.
