According to one recent study, lack of sleep makes you feel haunted for one reason: brain cells lose the ability to communicate with each other when you are tired and sleepless enough.

Dr. Itzhak Fried of the University of California, Los Angeles, says: We discovered that “sleep” steals the capacity neurons that function properly. This opens the way for cognitive errors in the way we perceive and react to the world around us.
