Americans stop recognising Jamaica until the tax is lifted?

The recognition of the small Karaibe state, Jamaica has caused diplomatic scandal in Kosovo. Last night, news of recognition was made known by all Kosovo political leaders, but only hours later, the foreign ministry of this state denies it.

The recognition has been communicated to Kosovo's ambassador to Washington, Vlora Citaku. It through official communication had announced Kosovo's institutional leaders, with the recommendation expected until the delivery of verbal note.

However, leaders seem to have ignored this recommendation altogether, making public the message of recognition.

Periscope's safe sources show that the United States of America since its tax site against Serbian goods had not rejected Kosovo's recognition campaign by Serbia as a punishment measure for Kosovo authorities, which are further ignoring Washington's suggestions on suspending the tax.

“The US has already made it clear through diplomatic communication that Jamaica will not officially recognise Kosovo, until the latter suspends the” tax, these sources have said.

The latest recognition of Kosovo was on February 15th 2018.
