Kazakhstan's President Kasssym-Jomart Tokayev told the government to examine “this serious incident”, prosecute the culprits and take care of the families of those killed and wounded.
Authorities said the cause was a conflict in the family, while later some provocations exploited the situation to begin a larger conflict.
So far there is no confirmation of whether the clashes are related to an ethnic conflict.
