In the damage report prepared by the government, the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank, about 19 % of the population, or 26 thousand people affected by the earthquake, reportedly result in poverty.
The fact that the poverty level after the earthquake increased by 2.3, is highlighted.
Effects on poverty can be expanded as in addition to the direct impact on those affected by loss or damage to property, many residents suffer indirectly through losses in economic activity and deteriorating health.
After the quake, about 9.2% of households in the affected circles were displaced from their homes, and nearly 1/3 of 9.2 %s had not returned to late December 2019.
According to the report, respondents say that the ability of households to pay ordinary expenses indicates a downward trend after the earthquake compared to before the earthquake.
The result was also in the health of the residents. About 5.6% of the population reported memory loss, difficulty in sight, hearing and concentration.
Because of the quake, about 43% of people in the affected circles reported emotional fatigue, sleep problems, depression and anxiety two weeks after the event.
