Kurti years ago did not share the same attitude towards Serbian goods, writes Periscopi.
His party at the top of it, in 2011 rotated trucks with Serbian goods, saying there could be no trade relations without political relations.
The VV) had also published a media communiqué where she mentioned several key points on the subject:
One of the points was that “Buying Serbia's goods to Kosovo citizens are actually funding the weapons and bullets that Serb criminals are using in support of their territorial goals against Kosovo”Where this is just one of the points in the communique.

In an opinion on this action, it is said that “free trade” between Kosovo and Serbia, the country that does not even recognise the right to exist, is harmful and wrong. “The government of Kosovo's transparency forces the citizen to commit himself to his well-being, in defense of the concept and principles of law, which are being violated in the name of certain formal standards, which this time again are being imposed on us by others, regardless of the urgent needs of our homeland and our people”, says in the statement, while the following provides the reasons for such action. and .
1. There can be no business relationship without political relations. And there can be no political relations before Serbia recognises Kosovo, which first implies an apology, second reparation of war damages, third the return of the missing. To trade freely with someone who does not recognize existence, who does not accept your right to be a nation and a state, is to bargain with the old oppressor, who has never promised to be a new oppressor.
2. There can be no trade relationship with an Aggressive country that keeps criminal structures alive and running that have taken part of our territory hostage, turning it into a nest of smuggling, organised crime and terror for the citizens of that province. By buying Serbia's goods Kosovo citizens are actually financing even the weapons and bullets that Serb criminals are using in support of their territorial goals towards Kosovo. By buying Serbia's goods, we help them keep standing, money and logistics, illegal structures that cannot enable us to develop.
3. Even in economic logic, our “Free Trade” between us and Serbia does not benefit us. Nothing benefits us from it, we just lose. The only beneficiary is Serbia, and that is unfair. Within a single day hundreds of trucks from Serbia enter Kosovo, while three single trucks from Kosovo that left for Serbia have been detained. We accept thousands of tonnes of goods with the Republic of Serbia document, and they have not even accepted three trucks with UNMIK documentation. This is direct exploitation and through this relationship, Kosovo is becoming poor. The most appropriate name of this exchange would be “Trade unevenly and imposed”, rather than “Free Market”. Accepting Serbia's goods weakens, and gradually dies, our citizen's merchandise turns into a customer and consumer of a country that has never allowed us to develop economically. This kind of trade exchange turns Kosovo today into a Belgrade trade colony, a modern colony that doesn't differ much from the classic colony we were yesterday.
4. Finally, we are against the “Free Trade Agreement with Serbia, and we witness this through our shares because we have full confidence in Kosovo's economic potential, the potential of local producers, to produce quality goods with responsibility. This has not happened massively so far, because our producers have been discriminated against in relation to Serbia's goods businessmen. Neither European states nor countries that represent our aspirations for the welfare of citizens have developed economically without protecting their producers without protecting their consumers. Moreover, neither of these countries makes “Trade free” with aggressive states, with countries they don't know politically. With such instances the history of recent years is full, and from history we cannot learn lessons.
Today, and whenever we can, we will do all we can to prevent our “Free Trade” with Serbia, or better, the trade invasion that is imposing on us no matter what our political will. Our action today is in confirmation of our continued demand for sovereignty and dignity, confirming our civic call to help and protect local production. If the government doesn't offer this protection, because it's also incapable, unwanted, and compromised, then let it go, we, its citizens, both economically and territorially! Buy SHQIP! and Boykotoize Serbia's products!
