It's not all vaccines, it's just that Sputnik V. It is learned that Russian officials have warned citizens to avoid alcohol for two months after applying the Sputnik V vaccine.
According to experts, a warning against recent alcohol consumption in Russia is a general measure for increasing immunity rather than as a specific counterindiction or interaction with the vaccine.
Those who receive Russia's Sputnik V vaccine should stop consuming alcohol for nearly two months ago and after the immunization, Russia's consumer safety watchdog leader said on Tuesday.
Smoking, before and after the vaccine is also not a good idea, according to many health experts. That's because cigarette smoke irritates the lungs and tilts immune responses.
The warning came from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, who said in an interview that the Russians would have to respect additional precautions over 42 days for Sputnik V vaccine to become effective.
“The Russians will have to refrain from frequenting crowded environments, wearing masks? for their faces, using disinfectants, minimizing contacts and not consuming alcohol or immunization drugs”, Golikova told the media.
