In his speech at the BIK Assembly, Ternava said Muslims and Catholics had come together for one nation. He says they have all fought indiscriminately.
His statement comes after the Special Court's confirmed indictment of former KLA leaders, prosecutors have divided Albanians into Muslims and Catholics.
The Kosovo Liberation Army has been and will remain holy. The fight for the country's liberation cannot be denied, it can be punished individually with or without reason, but it is by no means overstepped by UCK's war. They tried to divide us into Christians and Muslims in the case of this trial, but they are intended to divide the Albanians, we know we are a nation, we have fought together indiscriminately, we have fought only today to be free”, Mufti Trnava said.
