Israeli forces kill Palestinian-year-old except for throwing stones at them

Israeli soldiers shot a 15-year-old palesis dead during a protest with rocks thrown Friday in the occupied West Coast, Palestinian officials said, although the Israeli army has said its forces have not used war bullets. The Palestine Health Ministry said the teenager killed was shot with a bullet [...]

The Palestine Health Ministry said the late teenager was shot in the womb and then sent for treatment to a hospital in the Palestinian town of Rama God, where he later died, Reuters writes.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said that soldiers have used, as she described, methods of distributing the crowd, including rubber bullets, to deal with dozens of Palestinians who attacked with stones and tried to set the tires of Israeli vehicles on fire.

The reports on the use of real bullets during the uprising are not true, while claims of a number of wounded rebels and a murdered” are known, the Israeli spokeswoman said.

A member of the village council where the incident occurred said the late teenager was involved in a weekly protest against Israeli settlements in al-Mughayir, located near the town of Ramallah.

The Palestine Foreign Ministry described the young man's murder as a war crime. This disgusting crime is a crime of war and crime against humanity”, the ministry's statement said.

The UN's envoy for the Middle East, Nickolay Mladenov, said he is terrified of this murder. “Israel must quickly and independently investigate this shocking and unacceptable incident”, he wrote on a social network.

Palestinians are against Israeli settlements in the occupied West Coast because they think they'll be able to afford a functional state. Many states consider these settlements an obstacle to peace and illegality under international law.
