Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani's U.D. has reacted to the recent publication that took place regarding the appointment of Flaron Shala the son of AAK deputy, Haxhi Shala, as consul in Prague, Czechia.
Osmani stated that the appointment of the consul general in Prague and other appointments that are being published these days were made by former President Hashim Thaci, not by him as the task lawyer.
She said that despite her request, not a single document has been brought to her for review as regards the government's diplomatic service.
Osmani added that this is a vicious practice which must be turned back well and how such decrees will be abolished.
Full response:
The appointment of the consul general in Prague and other appointments being published these days was made by former President Thaci, not me as the task leader. Despite my request, not one single document has been brought to my attention as far as diplomatic service is concerned, on the part of the government.
The general consulate in Prague and the appointment of the consul general there are contrary to any diplomatic practice of democratic countries. General consulates can't be opened in the same city where we have Embassy. Unfortunately, this is not the only case. It's backwards practice, which we have to bring back. That's why those decrees will be abolished.
