President Donald Trump's narrow circle has started to split over his stance not to recognise the election outcome. His son-in-law, Jared Kouchner, and his wife, Melanie, have advised him to accept Joe Biden's victory and two adult boys, Donald Jr. And Eric, they continue to insist he follows the case legally.
CNN has learned from two sources that Kouchner, who is also a senior Trump adviser, has told him to accept the outcome, while another source near the family says Melanie told him privately to accept defeat. On the other hand, his two sons have publicly appealed to the Republican Party and their father's supporters not to accept the result.
Sources say the president's legal team will present some arguments to support this position, among which is reading the names of all those who have died and, according to them, have voted in the November 3rd elections. Also considered is organizing gatherings to accommodate their calls.
The objective is to gain more time through these movements for the case to be pursued in courts, possibly until the Supreme Court, to hope the outcome will change.
Meanwhile, members of the Biden presidential campaign confirmed that there has been no communication so far between the president-elect and the incumbent.
