The November 26 earthquake struck the Kara family harder than anyone else. Many nine members of this family were destroyed. Of these only two were brought forth by the breath of life from the ruins. Seven more shut their eyes forever.

Albert Cara is one of the survivors of the November 26 tragic earthquake lost his three children, his wife and daughter - in - law.

Two Cara families lived in the palace that was destroyed.

Albert and Fatmir's family. Two simple people who had raised their children by working as street vendors in the Kurbin area markets. Fatmira was a grown girl in Thumana, while Albert came from a Mirday family whose communist system had exiled to Thumana. They had three kids: Almir, Eris, and Hasan, who inherited the name of their grandfather who was destroyed.

To Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu, survivor Albert Kara has confessed the tragic event that took place in his life. For he remembers every moment exactly, saying that he has not given up hope, and that this has been the will of the Lord, and has accepted him as such.

He recalls the moment he was in ruins, saying that for a moment he expected to be asphyxiated by lack of oxygen. He adds that he had stretched out his arm and touched his little child.

I felt it was still hot. But for an hour it cooled. I thanked God that he didn't let her suffer a lot” he said with his trembling voice.

At the end of the day Bert said he's starting to recover, but again at night when he's alone, he communicates with his children and his family and he knows they listen.

Part of the interview with journalist Muhamed Veliu:

Muhammad Veliu: How have these 365 days been for you?

Albert Kara: Not easy. Like Bert. I've never been left alone. After all, I have had God with me. I've been active and trying to be active. If then I took a day for bees, I do this activity twice today. Staying with people associated. I'm a mechanic for what happened. Anxiety. But that's how it came from the great god. Aunta I did it to her. The pain is I'll stay stronger.

Muhammad Veliu: How do you remember the day you were rescued? ?

Albert Kara: It's all on my head. I may have lost it in Italy a little bit in surgery, I've experienced everything. It's not easy. After all, I would say I had no oxygen under the rubble. God did a miracle. They found me. I've been through everything. I touched the little boy's body, it was still hot. That only one hand moved me. It didn't last an hour and it had ice. I knew that he would suffer. Soon after he fell down, I heard voices and fernals. They came in record time. Someone survived. All I remember was the trip to Italy. Then I saw myself in bed in surgery. But I'm fine above all, they have given me a mental strength. Psychologically, their loved ones, I'm alone at dinner. But I got the kids there. I talk to them. I talk to them. There are difficult times that I get excited too. I'm meat and blood. I'll get it out whenever I want. I try to respect them.

Muhammad Veliu: It's to be admired this effort you're making Bert to overcome what happened. The charge that lost lives here is irreversible. But a year later when you come here to this palace you almost lost your life. How about this?

Albert Kara: Let's see it for ourselves. It's very strong because I like to create life here. I expect to recover and take the eye of a residence or a town of”
