The Serbian Orthodox Church has lost two spiritual pillars in just a few days, the blessed Metropolitan Amfilohije and Patriarch Irinej, while at the same time taking two representatives of prayer diligently before the throne of God”, he writes.
In times of temptation, with their effort and dedication, they marked an era of the history of our Saint Sava Church, they worked hard to preserve the unity of our mixed and Orthodox Church from division, courageously facing all challenges. Both hierarchs, with their extraordinary gifts, will remain remembered in the prayers and history of our people, but also throughout the Orthodox world in which they enjoyed great respect. The two lived especially for Kosovo and Metohija and fought for the survival of our people and the sanctuary, bearing the vow of St. Lazarev, following the saints and confessions of our Church.
