The government will announce details during the day. But earlier in the week, Konte said austerity measures would include a ban on night-long circulation on a national scale.
The new decree will stop people from entering or leaving the most hit regions in the country, considered red zones, for two weeks and will close all non-needed shops in those areas. But there's an exception. The parks will remain open, and sporting events will be allowed only near the house.
There is one way out of this dramatic period: to stay united. Always”, Prime Minister Giusepe Chaton wrote on Facebook Wednesday morning.
But which regions will be subject to these measures will be imposed during the day after health experts study the latest figures of infection and the capacity of beds in hospitals. The new measures will take effect by tomorrow. The ban on circulation from 22 to 5 will be national. Health officials in Italy are concerned about hospital hospitalization, and especially those in intensive therapy. In some regions, they say, capacities have been evacuated. A day earlier, the country announced over 28,000 new infections and 353 victims of the Coronobrus.
