Georgia, Michigan strike Trump in his efforts to overturn election outcome

President Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the election outcome took another blow on November 20th, when Georgia's state certified the election president's victory, Joe Biden, as republican lawmakers from the state of Michigan left a meeting in the White House unprepared to go against the will of voters. Facing a series of defeats in the courts, due to the failure to present evidence that would support his claims of irregularities in the election, some analysts say American President Donald Trump is taking an unprecedented step in trying to destroy “over-ex1> the Electoral College process.
Following Trump's recent failed attempts to overturn the outcome, the Republican leadership of the state of Michigan, including the Senate and House of Representatives leader, was called to the White House in an effort to persuade them to help overturn the outcome in this key state.
After this meeting at the White House, Senate leader in Michigan, Mike Shirkey and House of Representatives Chairman Lee Chatfield said claims of election fraud should be investigated, but they hinted they are not convinced by claims Trump has made so far on the issue.
“So far we are unaware of any information that could change the election outcome in Michigan and as lawmakers leaders, we will obey the law and follow the election process as far as this state is concerned, they said through a statement to the media.
“The candidates who win the most votes win Michigan elections and electoral votes, they added.
None of President Trump's efforts are expected to change the outcome of the 3 November presidential election, where Democrat Joe Biden has won over 270 electoral votes, needed to be elected president.
But, President Trump and his republican allies have made unsupported claims that there have been electoral fraud and have attacked the electoral system.
Meanwhile, in the state of Georgia, Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has officially certified Benden's victory in this state, following the recount of the vote, confirming Biden's narrow victory over Trump.
“As the other Republicans, I am disappointed, our candidate has not won Georgia's” electoral votes, he said.
With Georgia's election votes, Beden has 306 electoral votes and Trump 232.
