France has highly appreciated the dignity shown by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who resigned to respect the work of Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office.
Through a written response, France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning confirming the indictment for President Thaci has said France has taken note of President Thaci's resignation after confirming his indictment by the Specialised Chambers for Kosovo.
“We welcome the dignity he has shown, thus respecting the work of Specialised Chambers for Kosovo and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office. We remember, too, our connection and our support for Kosovo Specialised Chambers. French authorities do not comment on the decisions of justice or ongoing judicial procedures. France otherwise recalls its constant support for the dialogue process between Serbia and Kosovo, with the European Union's mediation”, it said in that response.
