The Belgrade City delegation went to Mitrovica to sign the Twinisation Charter between Belgrade and Mitrovica, as well as to visit works on the construction of two objects being built by the City of Belgrade. This clearly showed how much they respect the Brussels Agreement and how they treat Serbs because children in Mitrovica are not allowed to have a park or playground given to them from the city of Belgrade or refugees a roof over their heads. This is the message they gave us today”, Vesic said.
Belgrade's deputy chairman has said he had previously visited Kosovo smoothly, adding that Pristina institutions may have expected any incidents to arise.
This is the third or fourth time in the last months I have visited Kosovo and Metohija, and that the city of Belgrade is trying to help our communities there. They probably expected us to have any incidents, although the police were more than correct and apologized themselves... If Hoti wanted to build a children's playground in Presevo, we wouldn't have prevented it because we believe it's normal to build children's playing grounds”, Vesic said.
He said that the twinning statute would surely be signed, if not in Mitrovica, then in Belgrade.
