Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has informed citizens about the reductions they are facing in recent days.
Through a Facebook post, Ahmeti said COST cables fueling KEDS's trafos have been burned.
He stressed that the municipality does not stop or release electricity, adding that its pressure does not speed up engineers.
Full response:
Once again the COSTT cables that supply KEDS trafos have been burned. These are COST assets. These are often leading fingerprints. Today, several times we were informed that KEDS was assisting COST to fix them. In the last conversation, they promised to fix it in two hours.
This status is informative. The municipality doesn't stop and turn off power. COSTT is a central-level Public Company and has the responsibility to transmit electricity from KEK to THEDS -- high blood pressure. KEDS is private companies and buys electricity from KEK and importers, and then pays COSTT for passing electricity through their network to trafo. Then bring him to our house and sell it to us. Since all citizens are not notified, we are trying to keep you informed.
Now it's a priority turnover. My pressure doesn't speed up engineers. After the end of this crisis, we'll understand in detail the breakdown and take steps to make sure these situations never happen again.
