11 victims and over 500 new cases with COVID-19 in Albania

Eleven patients with COVID-19 lost their lives in Albania in the last 24 hours, 140 were reportedly cured, while another 507 people resulted in infection. According to the health ministry's report, the victims were aged 43, 48, 53, 58, 66, 68, 70, 78, 78 and 75 from Tirana, Gjirokastra, Pechini, Fieri, Berat, Elbasan and Korca.
Thus the total of victims in Albania from COVID-19 has gone to 590 (2.28% of total cases).
Authorities said that on the last day 2,384 tests were conducted in public and private labs, 520 tests “for depistation reasons”, which resulted in positive 507 persons (positive 27.1%).
With the new total cases, 25,801 persons have been infected in Albania.
At least 140 persons were recently declared healed according to the Health Ministry, bringing the total to 12,493 persons (48.4% of total cases) who have been able to overcome the infection since March.
Since Monday the number of healed persons is less than the number of active cases.
Currently, at least 12,718 people (49.2% of the total cases) still remain the host of the virus, of which 363 are located in hospitals ʹ18 in intensive therapy.
Tirana (6,229 cases), Durres (1,094 cases) and Fieri (971 cases) are the most problematic circles in terms of pandemic.
