Parties without clear stance for presidential post called for broad political consensus

The mandate of the country's current president expires in April of next year. Although President Hashim Thaci has been mandated for five months, political parties have currentised this topic, leaving open the possibility that the post of president will be part of their political markets. However, none of the political parties have a position [...]
The first to have openly expressed ambitions for the country's president has been the chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, who claims that this post should be discussed even within the current ruling coalition partners.
But the LDK is not ready to talk about this topic at this stage, even though it respects each one's right to show ambition for president.
Although senior PDK officials have said they are willing to join this government The PDK assumes the post of president or prime minister, MP Bekim Haxhiu says the president's topic is not in order of days.
The country's president's election requires most of the votes of MPs, which the current coalition does not have, hence requires a consensus with the opposition as well.
The VV says it does not become part of the deal for the presidential post.
