The chief of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, has spoken of the opposition criticism of the Hoti Government's possible involvement of PDK in Government, the election of Kosovo's new president, the possibility of co-operation in the upcoming elections with Vetevendosje Movement, as well as the statement for media making LDK chief Isa Mustafa for the arrest of Istog chairman Hakova Rug.
Gashi spoke about the media statement he made the first LDK, Isa Mustafa, for the arrest of the party's deputy leader, Haki Rugova.
He said he cannot be considered the law intervention of Mustaf's statement, as according to Gashi Rugova's arrest is not legally based and, as he said, “allegedly has political tendencies towards Rugova and LDK”.
There are “There are indicators based that Haki Rugova's arrest is not legally based. Law base for arrest doesn't exist. If you receive all local and international reports, you see that Kosovo stands the worst in the arrests because: arrested, one is made public trial and finally acquitted. That's why it's the spread of problems in the justice system. I don't appreciate whether Mr. Rugova has cause-professional ties that the court will decide at the end, but the process of how it's managed is seen to have a political tendency towards Mr. Rugova and the LDK, and Mr. Mustafa's exit is in that sense”, Gashi said.
Gashi said Kosovo has the highest number of illegal arrests made by police and justice institutions.
“Go into keeping people, are politically and publicly damaged, and after four or five years, are acquitted. The innocent exit after five years has ruined someone's life. It must be given that when an arrest warrant is made, there must be suspicion that that the criminal act in the end is going to be tried and convicted of”, Gashi said.
He said that knowing all the circumstances in the event, no one can be arrested and then collected evidence about those allegations but that the opposite should be done.
