Experts alert: One more closure collapses the economy

Although against total closure, economic experts are saying, under which those measures could lead the country to collapse with unaffordable consequences.

While in the finance minister, they say a new isolation could push Government into reviewing budget expenditures after three months.

The executive director of the American Economic Ode in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, says of Kosova Preris, that a second closure of economic activities would lead to massive closure of private companies and jobs.

Zeka stressed how the American Economic Ode believes it is possible to continue economic activity, always respecting IKSP recommendations to prevent spread of pandemic.

So is professor at the Faculty of Economics at “Hasan Pristina” Nagip Skkiner emphasises for Kosovo Press, that in no way should the Government decide to prevent economic activities, because economic collapse with new restrictive measures is inevitable.

Deputy Finance Minister Agim Krasniqi tells Kosovo that another closure of businesses forces the Ministry of Finance to review budget expenditures within the next three months.

I'm hoping there will be no closure, but when we talk about the 2021 budget, it must be clear to all, because in 2020 where we've had a decline of 6.5 to 7 percent, over 300 million as regular budget revenues. Business circulation has been reduced by September by over 1 billion euros.
