The Serb member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's presidency, Milorad Dodik, said today that Republika Srpska would not give consent to Kosovo's recognition.
He has conveyed this position to the Swedish delegation he met with in Sarajevo today, reports B92.
Dodik noted that Republika Srpska does not recognise Kosovo's independence, but that it is ready for regional co-operation within the Mini-Sengen initiative, claiming that the other two presidency members also supported this proposal, Telegrafi broadcasts.
The Serbian presidency member reiterated that Republika Srpska opposes Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership in NATO, but that does not rule out co-operation with the North Atlantic Alliance.
He said members of Bosnia and Herzegovina's presidency will travel to Brussels on Friday, where they will meet with European officials and welcome the EU's announcement about a package of assistance to the Western Balkans, which covers the values of nine billion euros.
