The Ministry of Internal Affairs has organised a solemn ceremony today on the International Against Trafficking in Human Beings.
The country's prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, has said there is a decline in human trafficking cases and, according to him, this has resulted from the work of institutions.
Human trafficking is a fundamental violation of human rights. Therefore prevention is the Government's priority as it shakes the foundations of democratic societies it actually continues to be a problem even in developed Western countries”.
There is no doubt that human trafficking hurts victims, damages our economies and strengthens organised crime. There is a complete legal framework for fighting this phenomenon. Prevention of this crime must happen with all the legal means that our legislation in force envisions. Our operational capacity should be advanced in line with new developments”.
“Referenced to recent statistics, there is a decline in human trafficking cases, and of course this has resulted from the work of institutions”.

“It is necessary to have full institutional coordination to combat this phenomenon. Beyond this internal co-operation, better international co-operation has been needed, Hoti said.
