Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica says the reason why he has not voted the medium-term Framework of revised spending 2021-23 is not including MPMS Legal Initiatives in this document.
Pension reform, the Law for the Rest of Lehonia and the Labour Law, are just some of the issues MPMS has addressed that are not included in the KAS.
Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica says that in this document, which is the main one in terms of budgetary planning, legal initiatives which are initially adopted in the government's legislative agenda are not presumptions.
I also jointly with my colleagues in the Government of Kosovo, from the initiative ranks we have not voted this framework for the fact that in this document, which is the main document on budgetary planning, legal initiatives that are initially approved in the legislative agenda of the Government are not presupposed. It's about judicial reform, the law about cutting off leukemia, working law and other issues that we've initiated under the legislative agenda, and that's why we haven't voted it out. We have requested that a space be found of access to these legal initiatives within the medium-term spending Framework, which then paves the way for their draft”, he says.
He has stressed for Kosovo Press that these legal initiatives, which are initiated by MPMS, are aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens and their well-being, while adding that he expects from the Government a solution for pushing forward these initiatives.
“We are in talks with the prime minister and other acts within the government to find a solution in terms of these legal initiatives because these legal initiatives, which have been initiated by the MPMS, are aimed at improving the quality of the life of our citizens and their well-being, and I firmly believe that in the process we will be able to find a solution in terms of pushing these legal initiatives”, Recica said.
Minister Recica has also talked about doubling the social assistance scheme, which has been adopted with his proposal, which he says is paying great importance to this category.
“Under the plan for economic recovery days ago in Government we have approved the decision to double the social assistance scheme for the month October-November-December. It is good news that has been delivered by the Government of Kosovo, which shows a commitment to these” categories, he says.
