Bajrami refuses to talk about the suspicious contract of the Ministry of Infrastructure from which the money evaporated

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Kujtim Gashi, during the meeting of the Commission, where he appeared in the report on the 2m-euro disappearance scandal, has asked the minister and has asked him to give his word for the suspicious Prizren-Prevale street contract, which was signed by Deputy Minister of Infrastructural at the exact time that Minister Arban Abrashi was in the US, and that is precisely from this contract, the stolen money from the treasury official.

But Minister Hykmete Bajrami refused to talk about the issue, telling him that this is the responsibility of the minister of infrastructure and that he should provide explanations.

“The money that was stolen was taken from two infrastructure projects. The budget was stolen from Zhur-Drabash Street and Prizren-Prevale. Do you have any information on whether the money from these two projects was taken and how these would be compensated? And do you have information that the Prizren-Prevall street project, the contract was signed by the Procurement Office by 23," and that since that time the contract was held in drawers, and just when the government cabinet was in the US on September 2nd, the contract was signed not by the minister but by the deputy minister. Do you have any information on this and can you give us some” explanation, Gashi asked Finance Minister Hykmete Bjaram.

But Minister Bajrami has also in this case said he must respond to Minister in Infrastructure Arba Abashi.

These are beyond my competence. Why the minister has not signed that contract but has signed it as his deputy, this is his whole matter”, Bajrami said.

The count of the disappearance of 2m euros by the Ministry of finals has also been reported by Vetevendosje MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila, who said that the minister's explanations reveal that the budget has no security and no adequate measures are being seen to prevent other cases of theft.
