For many of us, coffee is a necessary part of our daily routine, available to give us the great boost of energy we need in the morning or evening.
According to research, you need to avoid caffeine consumption by 2: 00 p.m. or at least seven hours before sleep, since it can negatively affect your sleep.
A study published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found that consumption of caffeine six hours before bed still affected sleep even though they no longer felt the effects of caffeine.
Although the study participants were able to fall asleep without a problem. Sleep researchers discovered that quickly consumed caffeine in front of the bed, three hours before the bed, and up to six hours before the bed all resulted in damaging effects in sleep.
According to studies conducted by researchers in Britain and the U.S. and published in Science Translational Medicine, drinking the equivalent of a double express three hours before bed can turn the body clock back almost an hour. This is related to heart disease and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's.
It's not just caffeine that's in the coffee but also soda or energy drinks.
The most useful time to consume coffee is 10 o'clock in the morning. In general consumption, the Mayo Clinic recommends keeping caffeine consumption at 400mg per day, or approximately four cups of coffee.
