Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has welcomed signing the letter of intent between the Kosovo Civil Aviation Authority and the German airline “Lufthansa”, for opening the airline between Pristina and Belgrade.
President Thaci has said this event marks the next step in efforts to normalise relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
Thaci has expressed gratitude for the US ambassador to Berlin, Richard Green and the adviser for national security of President Trump, Robert O'Brien for his contribution to the deal, which, according to him, is expected to facilitate the free movement of people and goods in the future.
“we welcome the signature of the Purpose Letter between the prestigious German airline “Lufthansa” and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Kosovo, which enables the opening of the Pristina airline, Belgrade. Of course, this event marks another step in our efforts to normalise relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. Therefore, on behalf of state institutions and our citizens, I express my deep gratitude for US Ambassador to Berlin Richard Green, as well as the National Security Council of President Trump, Robert O'Brien, for their contribution to this agreement, which is expected to facilitate the free movement of people and goods in the future,” has written Thaci on Facebook.
