US Strikes Iran-backed Groups in Syria

Coalition Forces Against - The US-led UN has carried out air strikes on Iran-backed Hezbollah units in Syria's Deirizor region.

Coalition planes attacked several elements of terrorist groups commanded by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, which support Bashar al-Assad's regime.

During the attack, four Hezbollah tanks have been destroyed in the Ebulkemal district, while several armed fighters have also been neutralised.

Coalition planes have also intensified detection flights on areas where Iran's support groups are located.

Tensions between the sides in Syria have increased following the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Solejmani by an American attack on Baghdad.
