Strike turns out for Culture Ministry object

By means of this strike, the government's decision to establish the Presidency in the entity of the Ministry of Culture had been rejected.

Workers' Union leaders told Radio Kosovo that the strike will be suspended until a new decision by the Ministry of Public Administration.

Workers at the Ministry of Culture and Sports will temporarily interrupt the strike. This was made known after a meeting was held by the Organising Council of Protection.

The chairman of the Workers' Union in the Ministry of Culture, Labinot Berisha, told Radio Kosovo of this decision would be in effect until a new decision expected to be impartial on the part of the Ministry of Public Administration.

“The Protection Organising Council has decided that the general strike, proclaimed in all areas where the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports functions, is suspended. This decision has been taken because the Ministry of Public Administration has publicly been declared that it will not take unilateral action to remove workers from the” facility, Berisha has said.

Berisha, said the Culture Ministry workers would agree to release the facility only if they have offered to make their deployment in a public facility.
