Switzerland is a place where many experiments are done.
Finally, the Swiss State is creating a suitable habitat for heavenly bodies from the earth. This is the target of the “Igluna” project, sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA). In July of this year a prototype will be built in Pilatus near Lucern and controlled in distance by the Lucerna Transport Museum, broadcast albinfo.ch.
Researchers were said to have already tested lunar housing modules in Klein Matterhorn (VS) last year. The new challenge facing “Igluna” will be that of remote-run technologies, an ESA statement says.
It should be stressed that Prototype on Pilates will be tested between July 10th and July 19, 2020, the Swiss Space Centre explained. Fifteen teams of scientists from ten different countries take part in the project, including representatives from the Federal Polytechnic University of the Lonas (EPFL), Bern University and the University of Applied Sciences of Zurich (ZHAW).
Also, it should be suggested that research will focus on various topics, such as new approaches to vegetable cultivation systems in space, experiments on amino acids, maintenance of living conditions, and habitat structure.
