Two people were arrested -- one in the Netherlands and the other in Northern Ireland -- under an investigation directed especially by the FBI on a traffic of billions of pirated personal data, such as passwords, Dutch police reported today.
A 22-year-old suspect was arrested in the town of Arnhem, east of the Netherlands, shortly after a secret information received by a Dutch-kibernetic crime unit co-operating with the British war agency against organised crime (NCA), FBI and German police.
“He allegedly was involved in a possession and sale of pirated users and passwords and has played a facilitator role in the cybercrime field”, police stressed in a communique, adding that the second suspect, also aged 22, was arrested in Northern Ireland.
