Kosovo condemns attacks on US Embassy in Iraq

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo expects the Iraqi government to provide the necessary security for diplomatic missions in Iraq, as envisioned by the Vienna Convention for Diplomatic Relations”, a media communiqué by the MPJ says.

Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli, condemning the evolution of armed groups of terrorist organisation Kitaib Hizbollah in attacks on the US Embassy in Baghdad, invited the same to be held responsible for the violence and terrorist attacks on civilians and peaceful forces.

The Iraqi government has a special obligation to take all steps to ensure the invisibility of diplomatic mission spaces and personnel and to prevent the interference of groups aimed at destabilising Iraq and the region”, Pacolli has declared.

The Republic of Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports US defence attacks in Baghdad in response to the recent attacks on American Embassy property and personnel, with the intention of losing lives Iranian General Qasem Solejmani, head of Iranian Revolutionary Guard foreign operations.
