The Norwegian coalition government collapsed today after the right populist party” Progress” withdrew due to Syria's repatriation of an alleged supporter of terrorism.
Party leader” Progress”, Siv Jensen announced the decision after discussing her party leadership and Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
The alleged supporter of the Islamic State, a Pakistani-born woman, was repatriated last Friday, along with her two children.
“We may have welcomed the children, but we don't compromise with people who participate in terrorist organisations”, Jensen said at a press conference.
The government approved the repatriation of three from the al-Hol refugee camp, controlled by Kurds in Syria in October, acting on the basis of information that one of the children was very ill. /Attish
